Today’s show is largely based on an article on my website titled, “The Value of Discernment,” at kjmaclean.com. You can follow along if you’d like.
Edward Snowden is back in the news. In my local paper I saw an article claiming that Snowden is safe in Russia and is looking to find asylum in Ecuador or Iceland. You’ll recall that Snowden was the guy who leaked “sensitive” documents about the NSA’s spy program to the lamestream press in the US. This is supposed to be some sort of crime; telling the truth, apparently.
We already know that the NSA is trying to monitor every single communication on the planet; the Utah Data Center is just the latest facility of a private network that, apparently, wants to gain control of the human race and the planet earth. You see, what we are dealing with isn’t the stupidity of the Democrats and the Republicans, or the idiocy of the liberals or the conservatives. These represent what I call a false dichotomies; trying to place the attention of the public on groups that really have no power.
My research indicates that the public governments are not in the loop. The President of the United States, for example, does not have a need to know about the secret black programs that have diverted hundreds of billions of dollars (and maybe more) out of the public budget and into the hands of this private network. Of course I have no proof of this, and those who do must disguise their information in science fiction books, or make sure that the public knows that what they are saying is just “conspiracy” talk. Otherwise, something happens to them.
And that is why the actions of Snowden are so courageous. People who disclose sensitive information soon come to understand that there is a very powerful private network operating on earth, above the “public” sector, and beyond governmental control. We’ve seen a glimpse of this network in movies like the Robert Ludlum trilogy starring Matt Damon, and in others. But of course these are just movies, and who really knows how much of it is true?
But the common theme in all of these movies is secrecy, hidden information, and the assassination or muzzling by force of anyone who reveals this hidden information. We see this in life as well, in persons like Snowden. Ultimately, that hidden information leads back to the hidden, black programs, exotic technology, and ETs.
The lamestream media, of course, portrays Snowden as a traitor; that he has given away vital “national security” secrets of the government that could harm the country. But these secrets can only harm the private network that is really in control. The words “national security” are codewords of the network that mean, “we are hiding something and we don’t want you to find out about it.” These words are blatant slaps in the face of the people of earth, telling us, “you do not have a need to know.”
Again, I have no proof of these statements, so my words merely sound like the rantings of a mentally imbalanced conspiracy theorist. However, there are guys out there like Snowden and other whistleblowers, and Dr. Steven Greer, who do have a lot of information about this network (Or at least pieces of the puzzle). These are people I admire a lot, because they are getting the word out despite personal danger. These are people who have first-hand experience, so their words should be counted very highly.
The point is that unless we wake up, the human race could still, eventually, find itself under the thumb of this network. As Dr. Greer says, there are two civilizations on planet earth: one with space travel and exotic technology (the private, extra-governmental network), and those of us in the matrix.
That’s what The Matrix movie was all about, really: the idea that there is a group of people on the planet with access to some very exotic technology that gives them the upper hand against us “useless eaters,” and that our daily lives are influenced by a lot of very sophisticated propaganda.
Noam Chomsky, the great educator and linguist, once said, "For those who stubbornly seek freedom around the world, there can be no more urgent task than to come to understand the mechanisms and practices of indoctrination. These are easy to perceive in the totalitarian societies, much less so in the propaganda system to which we are subjected and in which all too often we serve as unwilling or unwitting instruments.” All I’m saying is that I want you guys to actually listen to what is being said in the mass media, and mindfully assess the information you are given, even on sites and sources you trust. Use your discernment!
Hermann Goering, head of the Nazi Luftwaffe and Hitler’s designated successor, once said at the Nuremburg Trials,
“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”
As I remarked in my blog post, “the materialist dialectic,” it is easy to get people excited and disturbed, merely by creating a problem and offering a solution that always keeps attention focused on the desired result. In the climate change crisis, it’s global warming vs. global cooling. In politics, it’s Democrat vs. Republican, or Left vs. Right, or War vs. Pacifism. Humanity has been taught to take sides. “Where do YOU stand?” is the question we are asked, and fence–sitting is not admired, for it smacks of indecision or even cowardice. Thus is nuanced thinking discouraged.
Taking sides polarizes opinions and hardens attitudes, creating conflict and separation between and within human populations.
Discernment, however, is the ability to recognize subtleties in thought and action. A discerning person is more aware, and more intelligent. For example, if you believe in Creationism, you are forced to accept the fact that dinosaurs are only a few thousand years old. In the Creation Museum in Kentucky, circa 2007, saddles were placed on the backs of dinosaur skeletons, showing that dino’s existed right alongside horses!
Although this is an obvious example of the stupidity of polarized thinking, it is very easy to become entrapped in political or religious drama. You might be asked, for example, “Are you a Christian?” or, “Do you believe in God?” There are only two answers to that question, yes or no, placing you at one extreme or the other. But a brighter person might respond, “Why do you ask?” or “How do you define God?” These are questions that are difficult for those trapped within false dichotomy’s.
Either–Or thinking seems to excite the emotions as well. If you’ve ever gotten into a religious or political debate, you know what I’m talking about!
Unfortunately, emotion usually obscures reason and inhibits tolerance of other points of view.
The arena of politics is especially susceptible to such polarized thinking. Politicians are required to tell us whether they are “soft on terrorism,” or “soft on crime,” and as citizens, national elections are always framed in these simplistic, lowest–common–denominator terms.
Listen to news from Washington, and you will see that the vast majority of it is framed in these false dichotomies. President Obama says one thing and immediately the opposition says the opposite. It’s just primitive, adolescent either-or thinking that excites the emotions, because the debate is framed in such a way that you have to completely agree with one side or the other.
How do crises and polarized thinking become perpetuated? Through repetition.
It is accepted practice among propagandists (and marketers!) that a message will not get through unless it is repeated over and over. In fact, the dark actor Joseph Goebbels, Nazi minister of propaganda , once said
“[propaganda is] a carefully built up erection of statements, which whether true or false can be made to undermine quite rigidly held ideas and to construct new ones that will take their place. It would not be impossible to prove with sufficient repetition and psychological understanding of the people concerned that a square is in fact a circle. What after all are a square and a circle? They are mere words and words can be molded until they clothe ideas in disguise."
It is important to understand that you don’t have to take either–or positions on any issue. To those who are interested in manipulating opinion, it is irrelevant whether climate change, for example, means global cooling or global warming, for both sides serve the intended purpose, which is the crisis. (And the next crisis, and the next one, and the next one.) Once Communism collapsed, for example, terrorism became the next big global crisis. Once the Saddam Hussein straw–man was destroyed, the debate became the crisis between the Sunni and the Shiite in Iraq. And of course, the umbrella justification for the actions of the NSA, or “national security,” is always the “war on terror.” Evil Muslims are trying to destroy democracy in the western countries. The list of crises is practically endless!
How do you determine whether an issue is defined by a false dichotomy? Simply observe how the issue is framed. If you are told that disaster will result if you do not see an issue in the presented manner, or, you are encouraged to fight or resist something, then more than likely, someone has an agenda and is trying to convince you to follow it! I always figure out where every message appears on the scale of emotion / vibration. If it is in the negative range, I know that message is not for me.
Rational and reasonable people welcome differing opinions, because well–intentioned people want to SOLVE the problem, not perpetuate it!
The materialist dialectic of created crises is just a way to confuse and obfuscate through polarization. Nuanced thinking requires the ability to see and understand other points of view.
The proper way to handle a conflict of opposites is to practice discernment. A discerning person is difficult to indoctrinate; for he or she does not fall for the presented simplistic and polarizing dichotomy. He or she is capable of moving deeper into the question, and transcending the limiting and polarizing “conflict of opposites.”
A crisis can only exist when there are two opposing sides, continually clashing together. Nuanced thinking allows both “sides” to create new solutions that are at a higher vibration than the crisis, thus transcending the problem and dissolving it. Thus is propaganda defeated by mindful thinking and deliberate creation of your life.
Those who are spiritually aware have almost always transcended the simplistic and polarizing conflict of opposites. It is up to us to educate our brothers and sisters who are still immersed in the false dichotomy of crises and polarization.
All right, that is the intro to the show today. We promote the Interview With Spirit show as being about “current events from a broader perspective.” And we also promote it as being about the rising consciousness of humanity.”
Of course, no one can measure whether human consciousness is “rising.” We don’t even have a rational definition for consciousness, so how can we tell if it is rising or not? By “we” I mean the collective consciousness of humanity. In a very real sense the human race is sleepwalking. Collectively, we have been asleep for a long time. But now we are waking up!
We’ve said on the show for a long time that the human race will only wake up and reach our full potential when we have a correct definition of consciousness. This requires us to leap outside the Body Reality, outside purely left-brained, rational thinking. That’s because our higher potential lies within the virtual, invisible realm of consciousness.
Consciousness is virtual; non-physical. Therefore, trying to describe it scientifically is impossible. We saw how the yin-yang symbol shows the virtual world and the physical world touching at an infinitesimally small point in the center of the all-that-is: a singularity that can only be approached and understood intuitively. That’s because that singularity is non-physical. It is outside the physical, the 5 human senses, and beyond science as it is currently defined. And it is also beyond purely rational thought, for rational thought is intimately associated with the physical universe to the exclusion of the virtual.
Higher science is actually a melding of the physical and the non-physical; a melding of physicality and spirituality. Until the human race understands this, we cannot make that quantum leap in consciousness, and understand and realize our true potential. In other words, our true potential lies in the understanding of the virtual. And concomitantly, in understanding consciousness. And the only way to access the virtual is through right-brained thinking, intuitive thinking.
Of course we don’t want to become unreasoning airheads and space cadets; but all scientific breakthroughs have come through an intuitive leap of understanding that defies logic.
We’ve talked about this before. This idea is diagrammed perfectly in the cartoon with the two scientists. {tell joke}. The punchline is, “I think you need to be a little more specific here in step two.” What makes the joke funny is that it is impossible to be specific in step two, because the intuitive leap is virtual, not physical. It cannot be described as a process or as an equation. This intuitive leap of understanding is one of the properties of consciousness. It is purely qualitative, and not quantitative.
Frontier science is going to eventually discover that the entire world of matter and energy is enclosed within a subtle field of information, and that matter and energy itself is an excitation of this subtle, invisible field. This idea has been around for a long time, and has been encapsulated in the idea of the aether. Once this idea begins to become accepted scientifically, we will be on the right track.
From my understanding of what is going on in the black programs (which I have no personal experience of whatever), a lot of this exotic technology is based upon this idea, and the certain knowledge that every single point in the universe is connected to each other through this subtle information field. This subtle, universe-wide holographic information field explains properties of matter like non-locality and telepathy and teleportation and time travel. The people who are keeping this technology hidden must have some knowledge of this, for this exotic technology is based upon a more mature understanding of the universe. And as we said on the show last week, the holding back of this exotic technology may really be for our greater good. But we have to separate those who are working for the greater good, and those who simply want to use this technology for their own private ends.
And so we are living in the end times, where the duality becomes more and more visible, and where the big rocks are being overturned, and the cockroaches are running amok, for the inspection of us all. Like a pressure cooker whose lid is slowly leaking off, information is coming into the mainstream at precisely the level that we can collectively tolerate. We have the ability to accelerate that process simply by living mindfully and continuing our light work and our meditations, and the uncovering of our own light for the benefit of ourselves and others. The more you uncover your own light the better you feel, and the better you make others feel. This is a very important process that subtly, invisibly, extends the reach of human consciousness to the entire planet.
If there is a keyword here in the end times, it is discernment. The word discernment means, (from the Free Online dictionary) “1. The act or process of exhibiting keen insight and good judgment. 2. Keenness of insight and judgment.” Notice that the words insight and judgment are themselves not quantitative, but qualitative. In other words, it is impossible to truly discern simply using logic and rational thought. One must also use subjective, qualitative factors, and these qualities come from the virtual realm, from consciousness itself. One must, in order to discern, be able to go past the five human senses and the body reality. One must be able to access the singularity that connects the virtual with the physical. This is what the events of the end times are teaching us.
This is why transcending the duality is being hindered by a program of propaganda, persuasion, and psychological manipulation. Unless you are living mindfully, you never become aware that you are indeed living in a matrix. This matrix consists of mass media, entertainment, and the news. Part of its function is to keep you asleep, to keep you from understanding who you really are and your higher potential.
For example, the next time you read the New York Times or listen to NPR, don’t just read or listen to the news that is presented. Look also at WHAT is being presented. In the social sciences this is called FRAMING. We talked a little bit about this in previous shows. Framing is the choosing of the structure in which information is presented. If only a certain set of information is presented, then the stories or information that follow all conform to the information structure, and the data is slanted or oriented to the frame, even if the story itself appears objective.
For example, The New York Times blatantly tells you it is framing the news. All you have to do is to look up to the top right of the front page where it says, “All the news that’s fit to print.” At least it used to say that when I read the printed edition.
People almost never question the FRAME, they are encouraged to argue what is presented in the story. A clever frame can orient the reader or listener to a certain set of memes, reinforcing them, and no one is the wiser. And so a newspaper or radio broadcast may all be about the frame of terrorism, or war, or corruption. The reader is then encouraged to take sides against one party or the other, thus accomplishing the subtle propaganda goals of those who have set up the frame. In this way meme structures can be reinforced and maintained, decade after decade.
The FORM that the information is presented is irrelevant: old-fashioned newspapers or magazines, or glitzy internet multi-media presentations, accomplish the same thing. The way around this is through discernment. And that involves looking within and consulting your personal guidance, looking at your personal radar.
This what the agenda creators desperately do NOT want you to do! It is understood on both sides of the duality, amongst the players, that the battle is to keep you stupid (on the one hand, the service-to-self types) and on the other hand, to encourage you to think for yourselves and to trust your inner wisdom (service-to-others).
Truly, the battle is won or lost literally one heart, one mind, one soul at a time. On the one hand are the soul-less; those who want you to believe that you are meat, and to discourage you from realizing your full potential. And their weapon of choice is persuasion and propaganda through framing.
The solution is living and thinking mindfully, understanding that the solution lies within your own inner wisdom.
